第十一名：加里.库伯（Gary Cooper）
全名：加里.库柏，英文名Gary Cooper （又名：Frank J. Cooper
）。1901年5月7日生于美国蒙大拿州Helena
，1961年5月13日因肺癌逝于洛杉矶贝弗利山。美国早期著名男影星，他演活了奉行自我原则，在无意识中成为英雄的平凡人物，曾5次获得奥斯卡奖提名、3次获奖。代表影片有《正午》、《战地钟声》等。
在高中和大学里，加里开始参加舞台剧的表演。做了一年的群众演员后，他终于获得在汉斯•蒂斯勒(Hans Tissler)一部独立影片中的角色，与伊莉•塞德维克(Eileen Sedgwick)配戏；他为联美公司拍摄了1926年影片《芭芭拉•沃斯的胜利》(The Winning of Barbara Worth)后转投派拉蒙旗下，出演了《铁翼雄风》(Wings)、《攀上枝头》(It)、《告别武器》(A Farewell to Arms)和《战地钟声》(For Whom the Bell Tolls)等较有影响的影片。
这个在《正午》(1952)中将西部片推向新的高峰的明星，当1939年美国财政部宣布他为美国薪水最高的人的时候(当年他赚了482819美元)，几乎没有人表示意外与不满。在那个时代人们心目中，这个高大沉默的英雄是最完美的美国人。厄纳斯特·海明威还没动手着手写之前，就表示愿意让加里·库柏来担任自己故事中的主角：《永别了，武器》(1932)和《战地钟声》(1943)。
